Hey - you found me quick! Just setting up an account here. Wondering whether to syndicate Mashable posts or not - seems like I can't track subscribers through Feedburner if I do that. May just syndicate partial posts, or maybe just post a Flash widget that links back to Mashable.

How would you go about promoting a Wordpress blog through Xanga?

Xanga is sort of isolated from the rest of the blogosphere as far as interoperatability.. like, there's no way to display an external feed, no posting API, no trackbacks/pings, etc.

If by partial posts, you mean like posting a teaser here that goes back to Mashable, then yeah - that sounds like a good idea, although it might be a lot of work. Xanga has a way to post via email, so if you use a blogging client that can do that, like w.bloggar, then you could post everything simultaneously.. although I don't know how you'd get a partial post to go to Xanga and a full post to Mashable. Hmmm.

I don't know enough about Feedburner to offer anything there. :/

The guys in charge here are very accessible - vist John (the CEO) or Monsur (the lead developer), politely bust their chops for keeping the press in the dark, and ask what they can do to help with your syndication. Tell 'em Sean sent you :)
